this is my problem ,i have asked a lot of friends ,but nobody give me the answer, you can search my post in this forum, but there is no solution for it,
the reason for this is you export LANG=zh_CN in ~/.xinitrc or in /etc/profile.
you delete export LANG=zh_CN in those files, then in KDE,some of fonts can not be properly displayed. there is no solution for it, at least I haven't one, and neither the people I asked.

not only for xmms, but for gftp and mplayer, mainly for those programs written in GTK+ language

你果然厉害。我的问题终于解决了，我发过很多贴子问这个问题，原来是GTK PATCH的问题，现在一切都正确了，输入法也可以用了。真的很爽。

我的也是gtk-1.2.10，好像没这些问题啊？

确实很奇怪，可能是不同版本的问题？或者编译的参数不一样。

暫時性的解決方法...
在桌面上做一個 XMMS 的Link...
然後在命令那邊
輸入

export LC_ALL="en_US"; xmms

這樣會使menu變成英文的..

呵呵，在没有打上补丁之前，我的做法跟楼上的兄弟一样：)不过如果这样做的话，我怎么也无法让它显示中文。
所以最好的做法还是给打上补丁吧。
