输入法，我们只需要一个！！！！！！！

我只用fcitx,因为我只要五笔就行了.词组挺多的.与windows下的陈桥五笔差不多了.

问题的关键在于大家对“输入法”的这个词理解不一样，有人指的是“输入平台”，多数人指的是“输入方案”，比如，“五笔输入法”和“拼音输入法”的区别是输入方案的区别，“紫光”和“拼音加加”是输入平台的区别，输入方案是一致的，都是“普通话拼音方案”。各种“XX五笔”也都是输入平台的区别，输入方案都是王先生十几年前定下的。现在大家讨论的主要是输入平台的好坏，比如好不好安装，词库大小，词频调整的算法怎么样，什么的。不知道我说的清楚不清楚。
苏兄，我支持你！建立统一的输入平台，不同的输入方案用不同的码表。平台有一个就够了。MS的就是这样，不同的只是是码表不同，但它做的不好，于是就有新的输入法出现。

From a desinger point of view, "输入平台" is much easier to design than "输入方案", because "输入方案"  is the core. So if I can design "输入方案", it will not take too much time to design a "输入平台" that will better suite my "输入方案", right?

From an user point of view, as long as the "输入平台" is easy to use and configure, there is no need to use a "统一的输入平台". because the only benefit using "统一的输入平台" is simplifier the use and configuration.

I don't agree with you. In my view, the most import thing is the input method platform, and it's also the hardest part. The input method schemes, which are widely used, are very simple to implement right now, for example Pinyin, Wubi etc. But a good platform is very hard to design and implement, there are too many things to be concerned.

Though SCIM is a very simple platform, its source code has more than 30 thousand lines. But I can write a very good Pinyin input method, with no more than 20 thousand lines.

我支持fcitx，简单易用。我唯一的希望是不要放弃，当然重要的是易用性。内存我想不是大问题。将来的电脑大家都不会因为内存伤脑筋的。

我认为，苏兄的观点应该是建立一个类似于 windows 中的输入法接口，这样，通过 tray icon 可以达到各种输入法在使用和配置上的统一，以及编写输入法的统一。

james兄說得不錯, 輸入法平台比較麻煩, 比如在kde 1/2/3, gnome 1/2...等等不同的library 所處理的方式也有些不同, 要能和他們打招呼真不容易

没必要搞得那么复杂阿,统一是不现实的,最多也就是几个"平台"共存.
window下我用拼音加加.
linux下我用fcitx,就是因为简单易用.我只用双拼,两者有相同的双拼方案,满足了我的要求.除非我向开发输入"法",或者scim比fcitx更好用,否则我不会改变的.
