gentoo 引导背景画面

这个开机背景的做法DIY味道很浓,又有很好的效果,应该把它做成我们这个版的招牌,好好宣传一下,壮大DIY的声势。

编了好几次内核了,还是不行,我用的是2.4.18的内核

看来是核心没有patch好造成的,应该在这里出现

2.4.20patch好了。

可执行splash -s -f /usr/share/splash/bootsplash.cfg > /boot/initrd 时提示syntax error: ax=112

我前面几部都很正常啊,可图片就是不出来,难道是2.4.18的内核不能用?还是RH打过patch的内核不能用?

这个和你的图像大小可能有关系,你的图像是多大的?
执行splash -s -f /usr/share/splash/bootsplash.cfg > /boot/initrd不仅仅是简单的生成一个initrd。这个initrd实际上包含了开机时的图像。是不是图象大小不合适造成的?

这正是核心没有支持splash的体现,/proc目录是由核心管理的,如果在/proc目录下没有splash,就表明核心不支持splash,需要重新patch。你不如找个2.4.20的核心试试。

问题是我的机器只能用RH打过patch的内核,真是怪了,其他内核根本起动不了RAID卡,RH8又没有2.4.19的内核,真是要命
