楼上的，好像是你的启动盘没有设置好。再运行一遍启动盘的步骤就ok了。

（1）我在redhat 9.0下装了windows 98中文第二版，可“开始”菜单程序后面的菜单项中的中文变成了“__”，比如原先的“MS-DOS方式”成了“MS-DOS __”，我试着改名，可改了以后仍旧是老样子。
（2）Mandrake 9.0下安装Windows 98英文第二版，本想在下面挂个中文平台，我一直使用的是“Richwin 2000”，安装时出错，且不能显示中文。
谁能帮我解决问题。

安装完毕之后，可不可以删去/var/win4lin/下的那些大文件夹？
几百M，磁盘空间不够 了

中文文件名不对的，你的linux是不是locale是英文啊？

卸载：普通用户，删除win目录；root，运行unloadwindowCD

最好不要直接删除 /var/win4lin，因为那个相当于光盘，如果你更新个软件、驱动程序什么的哦，都要读取那个目录；当然了，如果里面win98读光驱没有问题，你可以删掉，到时候直接放光盘进去

我删去了/var/win4lin/rhome，发现在普通用户下一样好使，这样可以省出130M左右的空间

这个目录保留是有考虑的，如果多个用户，则每个用户都可以安装自己的windows；如果删除，你试试升级驱动程序时，它就会要系统盘了
