       Completed setup UI for smartpinyin and scim global settings;
       Fixed Qt 3.2.x compile issue;

嗯，还是不太明白skim相对于scim自身的frontend有什么优势或者特点，请指点。

first of all, it is a "real" KDE/Qt app, so if you prefer KDE environment, then this is for you ;)

Second, completely configurable: anything you see is in a separate plugin, so you can virtually modify anything in terms of what functionality you want to use.

Third, plugin based: it is very easy to write plugin to add more features (OK, this is not for end users, but for developers ;))

BTW: skim does not supply any kinds of frontend, although it does provide a panel and config module for scim.
