xorg-6.8的阴影和透明，这样设置就可以了：）

1. emerge -aDv xorg-x11 xcompmgr transset
2. 在你的xorg.conf添加如下的选项[PHP]Section "Extensions"
       Option "Composite"      "True"
EndSection[/PHP]
3. 用nvidia显卡的，最好把这个也加进去，在Section "Device"里[PHP]        Option     "RenderAccel"                "true"[/PHP]
4. 重新启动x

5. 现在，打开几个你喜欢的程序，再打开一个term窗口，输入

[PHP]xcompmgr -c[/PHP]

6. 现在阴影应该有了，如果没有-c选项，阴影不会那么明显

7. 保持5中的命令还在执行，另外开一个窗口，输入[PHP]transset 0.6[/PHP]
之后点击你需要的窗口

……

8. 怎么，你的电脑运行变慢了？ OK，现在用ctrl＋c停止那个xcompmgr的窗口。

其实，都是从gentoo论坛偷看来的，我整理了一下。

我的没有这个问题，看提示，你的是说缺少xcomposite.pc。试试revdep-rebuild -pv 看看少不少东西
不过，之后的确需要重新emerge -O libXft

似乎[PHP]xcompmgr -s[/PHP]占用的资源少一些，而且更加符合我的习惯。

如果你的电脑速度比较慢，就把-c换成-s吧。

自我感觉，-c的参数的效果，好比你的眼睛是光源，所有的窗口在其四周都有阴影，而-s则是来自屏幕左上角的光源，在下方和左面有阴影。

不过，透明还是太慢了。
