(1) download from http://enlightenment.freedesktop.org/
[You can also install from the cvs]
(2) compile them in a certain order
For the enlightment window manager, the order is:
- eet,
- edb,
- evas,
- ecore,
- embryo,
- imlib2,
- edje,
- enlightenment.
复制代码
You can make rpms or debs easilly according the README file in these packages.
But, these two packages "edje" and "enlightenment" are exceptions.
You may need checkinstall to make rpm or deb quickly.
If the deps are unmet, just install the required packags with apt-get/yum/urpmi ...
(3) add a menu in gdm if you like
In debian, just add a text file "enlightenment.desktop" in /usr/share/xsessions/
which contains:-
- [Desktop Entry]
- Encoding=UTF-8
- Name=Enlightenment
- Comment=Extraordinary X11 Window manager
- Terminal=False
- Exec=/usr/bin/enlightenment
- Icon=
- Type=Application
- [Window Manager]
- SessionManaged=true
复制代码
BTW:
(1)The enlightenment package is as big as 41,454,431 B (around 40 M) .
Why it is so big?
There is 26M fonts in it, fireflysung included!
And icons, images, themes ..........
(2)Dose E17 support chinese well?
Yes.
But before I compile enlightenment, I modified the file $PWD/data/theme/default.edc:
replace Vera.ttf and VeraBd.ttf with fireflysung.
It is a tip learnt from 无双.
(3)What will happen if I put mouse over fcitx input window in E17?
Very interesting things will happen.
Just try it out by yourself. |
