help!! problem with input method!!

I have installed fcitx and it is fine to run fcitx
yet I can not activate the chinese input method by Ctrl+space!!
what's the matter with it?

100％起作用的方法：
在/etc/X11/xim中添加
export LC_CTYPE="zh_CN.UTF-8"
export XMODIFIERS="@im=fcitx"
保存。
重启X
我在9.3，10.0都这么干的。没有问题。
local不用改都可以。

改LC_CTYPE难道不是改locale么？
