help! help !!! can't boot up

When l boot up my rh9, it said kernal is too old and kill the init process.
l have something in my home directory .
l have tried to boot up using the CD, but can't get into the /home/
What should l do to enter /home/

Boot From DOS

loadlin.exe vmlinuz  root=/dev/hd??

You can find loadlin.exe  and vmlinu From Install CD .   

hd??  means the partition in which  you installed RedHat linux.

As a Alternative,you can  use explor2fs in windows.

Why it said the kernel is too old? which hardware or software said that?
Isn't  a kernel can be used in anytime?

Thank you daha, l've solved that, using explor2fs. :-)

It occured after upgrading glib to a later version 2.4 , but l don't know why.

I just understand that  maybe glib make this error.
