一个很困惑的问题，系统安装好后启动出错！！！

我有一块Seagate SATA 200G硬盘，安装了slackware 10.2，由于它自带内核是2.4的不支持SATA硬盘，安装时是不会识别到SATA硬盘的，所以我们老大在安装系统中编译了一个2.6的内核程序，我们只要选用它启动，就可以识别！识别到的是Sda。问题是：我从头到尾都一步步Full安装，在启动后出现：VFS:cannot open root device "805" or 08:05
                           append a correct "root=" boot option
                           Kernel painic :VFS:unable to mount root fson.

同样的主板，用一块Seagate 80G SATA硬盘，同样的安装方法，启动一切OK！

请问是不是我的200G硬盘坏啦，还是在主板cmos要设置什么？我晕倒呀！！！

好像 2.6 内核安装完毕 是需要 make initrd 的，2.6 的内核都是模块的了，包括文件系统

感谢版主！终于解决啦，呵呵不是硬盘坏啦，主要是2.4的内核里面没有加载SATA驱动，重新编译内核2.6并加载SCSI中的SATA驱动，晕呀！这事搞了我两天！！！
