求助在ibmt30上安装的问题

我有一台ibmt30 笔记本， 安装其他linux版本没有问题，但是安装gentoo使我很受挫折，有谁在这个机子上安装了gentoo, 请麻烦指点一下要点。我在文字模式下安装基础系统，不知后面怎样才能成功安装X-window，真的很希望能够在笔记本上安装好gentoo, 先谢过！

After four day's hard working, finally i  managed this dream like RABBIT run on my ibmt30.
it is really good, i am happy that i had not given up. the present system language is English,

我的网络连接为 ADSL 联通宽带／ 显卡如上 ：Radeon Mobility 7500]

开始装gentoo时很莽撞，很多细节都没有搞明白就动手了，结果是：挫折..挫折..sad..angry
看到gentoo社区的牛人们都说他那么好，我怎能不动心。发誓！！ 坚决搞定！！吸取教训，针对自己机器的
配置，目标明确，学习。。学习。。

关键点：
       1 安装基本系统编译内核时 显卡和网络设备的配置（其他的都没有这两项重要，请看上面参考)。
       2 xorg.conf,我是让自动生成，可以用，有点小问题。如是拷贝了本机中例外一个系统ubunto7.10的配置。未改，非常的好。     
       3 装好基本系统后，新系统的网络设置 ／etc/conf.d/net  用：

我以前在我的t30上装过,但是显卡没有配置成功.

你是emerge的ati驱动程序吗??

ATI的驱动有闭源的，有开源的，对于t30, 不要去 emerge ATI  !!!!
xorg11自带ATI显卡的驱动（ibmt30开源的驱动）。 在上面有一篇文章专门谈的就是 ati （ibmt30及类似)显卡在编译内核时该如何设置，其他地方就没什么。

你将上面的文章看一下，所有的信息都有了。再补充一下：还可参考：gentoo xorg howto

我就有一台T30，已经装了gentoo跑了三年了，欢迎你加入

关于显卡，不要用ati出的闭源显卡，估计是T30的显卡太老，那个闭源驱动不支持
应该用的是radeon开源驱动，这个有点类似于针对nvidia显卡的nv驱动模块
