archlinux如何使用mysql

我在系统里装了mysql然后运行，说蝋有mysql.soc文件，以tmp/mysql下确实没有这个文件，mysqld start 总是fail
[root@myhost ~]# mysqld_safe &
[1] 9619
[root@myhost ~]# nohup: ignoring input and redirecting stderr to stdout
Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql
STOPPING server from pid file /var/lib/mysql/myhost.pid
071208 07:51:28  mysqld ended

[root@myhost ~]# /etc/rc.d/mysqld start
:: Starting MySQL                                                        [FAIL]

顺便问一下，启动终端时出现bash: 　set: command not found
bash: 　　　　　　export: command not found
bash: 　　　　　　set: command not found
bash: 　　　export: command not found
bash: 　　　set: command not found
bash: 　　　export: command not found
是什么问题，好像上次装了wine后就有的
