[已解决]Help me for xorg.conf!!!

Now I am pacmaning scim-pinying so that i can't use Chinese


I'm a new user of Arch,after installtion of base system,i have pacman -Syu,and pacman -S xorg,but i forget to copy xorg.conf to /etc//X11
i used startx and succeed.then i pacman -S xfce4 and after installtion. i startxfce4 and also succeed.

then i found that i forgot xorg.conf,so i used hwd -x to create a xorg.conf to   /etc/X11.and the problem is coming!!!!

startx failed!
startxfce4 failed!

then i used xorgcfg -textmode to created xorg.conf byself.however,huapin(pinyin).

how to slove?help me

and i want to ask that why startx can run without xorg.conf?

startx failed!应该还有提示信息的，根据提示修改下xorg.conf应该就可以了。
不行的话把提示信息贴出来看看
建议用X -configure
好像不用xorg.conf一直都是可以启动 X的

出错信息如下:

(EE) Failed to load module "type1" (Module does not exist,0)
(EE) No drivers available
Fatel Server error:no screen found

type1的问题我通过注释掉那行可以解决,不过不知道是什么意思啊

显卡驱动我装了 显卡是intel 810M,通过pacman -S xf86-video-intel

还有,就是X -configure怎么使用?需要安装什么吗

还有个问题就是不使用xorg.conf的时候我可以进图形界面,但是没有这个文件我在哪里改分辨率?

通常是xorg.conf是里面缺少类似象
Section "Device"
    Identifier "devname"
    Driver "vesa"
         ...
EndSection
这段指定显卡驱动的内容。
有一台机器上我用hwd -x生成的xorg.conf也试过没有这段内容，相对用X -configure来生成的兼容性可能更好些。

xorg.conf不贴出来怎么帮你看哪里错了？

用root用户登录终端，运行 X -configure ,然后cp /root/xorg.conf.new         /etc/X11/xorg.conf
采用hwd生成的xorg.conf好像默认采用vesa驱动的。

试试xf86-video-i810

谢谢指教，下载了这个驱动，然后重新xorgcfg -textmode手动配置，终于进入图形界面，并且分辨率也调到1024x768了
