你什么显卡，用的nvidia的驱动吗？

是AMD的专业卡M8900，大约相当于6970，用的是fglrx-driver，不过开源的xserver-xorg-video-radeon我也装了。

是不是忘记装firmware了？试试
apt-get install firmware-linux-nonfree

另外，如果你真想用ATI的驱动，那最好把fglrx相关的软件包都装上。装好后别忘了
update-alternative --config glx

然后选择fglrx那个选项。

就是A卡的fglrx驱动的问题，卸掉，装上开源的radeon驱动就没事了。ATI的驱动一直就是不一般的烂。N卡没事。

大哥说这话就不太公道了。要说以前，N卡的驱动那是没得说。可现在简直是垃圾！一个bug, 弄得kde和gnome的效果都开不了，而且拖了得有半年多，到现在还没有彻底解决（特别是在7300上）。ATI卡的驱动虽然也有问题，特别是那个该死的鼠标问题，但好歹人家俩月就弄好了。

至于在Debian上的安装问题，咱别怨别人，只能怨Debian:Broken-heart:，Debian的软件包分割的太细了，没有经验的用户，在安装时很容易出问题，有些东西老是忘了装，甚至根本就不知道要安装。
