在linux下有directory domain这个概念吗？

在linux下有directory domain这个概念吗？就像windows里active directory一样。。能不能在windows客户端加入到linux下的域。

NIS或者openLDAP
但是NIS较不安全，openLDAP较为复杂。

我在linux下建立了一个dns..域名为example.com..我在windows下解析都是对的。。而且能把windows加入到example.com域中。。用smbpasswd建立root的访问密码，然后在windows上用root登陆到example.com居然成功了。。。难道用samba能访问到dns里设置的域吗？
