In Solaris, when pressing [Ctrl+right mouse button], the popup list has an option "log to file". When it is being selected, all outputs in the xterm will be automatically redirected to a logging file.

This function is very useful when debugging or ... But I can't find it in the RH/GNome.

So I want to know: Does the xterm in SuSE have this option? I'm a new beginner in Linux. And never used Suse. Thanks.

应该是可以的。

不过我即使在Solaris用的也很少,这种方式文件存放在开启该终端时的目录下,有时很难找。现在一般使用
"script FILE_NAME"
^D 退出

Thank you. script works fine in Solaris, and I'll try it on RedHat later.
