fcitx doesn't work (i can see the logo, but it's grayed out)

i am using debian linux, tried install fcitx 1.8.4 and 1.8.5. the installation process seems quite smooth, but when i run fcitx, it just show up the logo, but the im method (WU) is grayed out. i could dhange the profile to change it to ShuangPin, but it still grayed out. I can move the logo, but when i click on it, it pops no menu at all, and i could not change to chinese input mode by click ctrl-space, or change input method by alt-number.

i am a newbie in linux, and i don't know what else to look at. would anybody help me? otherwise, i will have to continuing to post in english in the future ;)

看了很多遍fcitx的设置的帖子，也试了很多次，终于解决了。

说出来很可笑，我运行fcitx之前，在terminal里面设了locale，但mozilla是在缺省(英文)locale下运行了。运行fcitx之后，再在同样的locale下运行mozilla，就可以输入中文了。
