share memory problem when i install Oracle 9i on Red Hat 9

When i install Oracle 9i, i was prompt "Share memory" problem in processing of Database Assistant installing.  i ignore it and after that i can not start Oracle 9i properly, always said there is no database available.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!
