How to add Chinese support into Mandrake 9rc2 ? -- core dump

I added "export LC_ALL=zh_CN.gb2312" and "export LANG=zh_CN.gb2312" into ~/.bashrc  (or modify /etc/sysconfig/i18n). But my KDE3 crash. GNOME2 and other WM(blackbox, WindowMaker and other) can run but a lot of apps crash:

用安装盘升级的办法来修复一下，我就用这种办法修复的。

But core dump either.
I reinstall mandrake 9rc2 5 times today.(full install). but core dump either.

If I install as simple chinese language. It can support chinese. But after reboot. It can't set chinese language. a lot of apps core dump.

can I use UTF8 encondig ? let me try

All is OK now
I dont know why

I install Mandrake as Chinese language and then change to English Language in KDE Control Center,restart X, all is OK now.

Ok, now start install XSIM

哈。。我正想办法呢。
我安装用这个版本的情况是，当我删除用户名下的.kde，时，应用程序大多都没有了。。后来就用升级的办法找回来了。
Core Jump，我就不太明白了。。。

刚刚在装 XSIM 时试验出来的
为了装 XSIM, 我把自带的 Chinput 卸载了. 再次登陆时发现已经正常的那些软件突然又开始 Core Jump. 待我再装回 Chinput, 一切又都完全正常, 现在拿 Chinput 输入, 可能它没有 XSIM 和 g5b 好, 但只要能够正常运行就够了.

前几次装 Linux 都是在安装途中就把 Chinput 去掉, 所以每次安装后只要加入中文支持都不正常.

可能是卸载 Chinput 时把某些必需的 .so 删除了吧.

一个经验, 呵呵

另外安装后不要在 .bashrc 里面添加 export XMODIFIERS=@im=chinput 否则会不正常
