Everytime I try to run configure script in any program's source
it gives me
...
checking how to run the C preprocessor... /lib/cpp
configure: error: C preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check

what's wrong???
my gcc is 3.3.2

there should be a link in /usr/include/linux link to /usr/src/linux/include/linux

if you have installed kernel-headers package, it's not necessary to make the symbol link. I suggest to install this package. in fact, lacking of this package may cause a lot of troubles in compiling packages and kernels.
