my debian(sarge, kernel 2.6.4) cannot start fcitx.

the following is the locale command's output:
$ locale
LANG=zh_CN

LC_TIME="zh_CN"

LC_MONETARY="zh_CN"
LC_MESSAGES="zh_CN"

my .bashrc looks like:
#FCITX
export XMODIFIERS="@im=fcitx"
export XIM=fcitx
export XIM_PROGRAM=fcitx

#LOCALE setup
export LC_ALL=zh_CN
export LANG=zh_CN


after login to gnome 2.4, i issue the following command
$ fcitx &
and then it says
$ [1]+ Done                     fcitx
and i am still unable to input chinese.

anybody can help this poor guy?

一直很想使用fcitx，可是就是出现以上的毛病，没办法。等了好几天居然还没有解决过来，那就换呗！

没想到安装了SCIM以后，发现这输入法还做得真不错！既有拼音（这是我一直在使用的输入法），也有仓颉（这是我由于执笔忘字以后决定学习的笔画输入法）。界面漂亮美观，我真的没有什么要求了！

万分感激SCIM平台的作者，同时也感激其智能拼音输入法的作者！为开源事业高呼万岁！
