1. You must set the DNS Ok!
2. If you select sendmail, use the ntsysv select the services : imap, pop3, sendmail, dns
3. netstat -ln | grep sendmail/dns
4. telnet <you ip address> 25/143
5. mail root
6. in # , mail
check root can received the mail
7. in rh7/8/9 , create your mail user on kde3
notice: the user is mail group
8. in /etc/xinetd.d/ , find the pop3 / imap,
    add : protocol = tcp
             port       = 110
in sendmail.cf , CW add local domain .
                            o DaemonPort Options=port=smtp,address=your ip, name=mta
9 . if you now can't received, i hope you read about the set dns and sendmail doc, in www.linuxaid.com.cn and www.linuxsir.cn have lots technology files.
notice the /etc and /etc/mail

last days , i read some about proftpd+postfix+postgresql's files,  the SuSE LInux not set the DNS and mail server. that you can use the webmail+pop3+imap, simple services .

Good Luck!

#/usr/share/squirrelmail/config/conf.pl
Use Sendmail/SMTP配置为sendmail

另外,我原来发不出去信好像是因为/ETC/MAIL/ACCESS 没设好。
