Yum Extender 0.40  is now a part of Fedora Extras, it can be installed from Extras by running this command as root
yum install yumex
是用yum装的吗？？？

你是FC4吗？？？试试用yum装

在FC3／FC4中直接用yum install  yumex安装即可！
注：你的/etc/yum.repos.d/fedora-extras.repo中enabled=1才行

我用yum install yumex装的，可是用不了，出错信息如下

呵呵，好象yumex不能直接从命令行调用
从应用程序-系统工具-YUM Extender 打开就可以了
我用的是FC4

我还下载了 Yum Extender Update Alert Applet ，它是RHN Update Alert Applet的hack
可以用来调用Yum Extender升级
到http://linux.rasmil.dk/cms/modules/mydownloads/viewcat.php?cid=8
下载yumex-applet-2.1-1.i386.rpm，然后
#rpm -Uvh yumex-applet-2.1-1.i386.rpm
启动通过
应用程序=>系统工具=>Yum Extender Alert Icon
