为什么无改变root的密码

我再root的身份下，用passwd root变更密码后passwd: password updated successfully
说密码变更成功。但是用到升级或者登陆root的时候为什么还是原始密码而不是我改的密码呢？

从livecd chroot一下改应该行吧

Ubuntu 上用不着 root 登陆
请用 sudo 或者 gksudo

sudo 问的是当前用户的密码

reboot your system
when you see grub enter "e"
then modify your boot file by adding " [here is space] single" ,and enter "b" to boot your system.
you can run your system in single mode now.
And then enter "passwd" to create new password.
