MySQL5.0.51a make install安装完成后没有scripts目录是怎么回事呢？

MySQL5.0.51a make install安装完成后没有scripts目录是怎么回事呢？
整个目录结构如下：
root@HBubuntu01:/tmp/mysql-5.0.51a# ls /usr/local/mysql/ -l

没有scripts目录，找不到旗下的mysql_install_db文件也就没法初始化数据库啊！该怎么解决呢？直接从源也就是/tmp/mysql-5.0.51a目录中复制过来一个scripts包括其下文件，可以吗？

在/etc下面

/etc下面没有哦！
只有这些目录：
fuhao@HBubuntu01:~$ ls /etc/s
securetty    services     shadow-      skel/        ssl/         sysctl.conf
security/    shadow       shells       ssh/         sudoers      syslog.conf

最后的mysql安装目录的bin目录下找到了这个初始化数据库脚本：mysql_install_db，并成功执行了数据库初始化。
