centos4.7安装FUSE问题

HI all：

有个问题困扰小弟已经多有时日，查询众多资料均无法解决，请原谅小弟学艺不精，在此讨教各位大侠，先行谢过！

环境： centos 4.7
安装软件版本：fuse-2.8.0-pre3

根据Readme安装：
./configure
make
make install

安装成功，无错误提示

modprobe fuse
错误提示：FATAL: Module fuse not found

尝试解决措施：
安装目录指定至/usr
将/usr/local/lib添加至/etc/ld.so.config 然后 ldconfig

下载其他旧版fuse均提示需要指定内核源码位置
configure: error:
        *** Please specify the location of the kernel source with
        *** the '--with-kernel=SRCDIR' option
configure: error: /bin/sh './configure' failed for kernel
