I can not find the latest version of the driver for the trackpoint driver for IBM thinkpad T21. anyone knows?

Installation

To install, just copy the "tpcfg" executable to a directory in your
path, such as /usr/local/bin.  If you wish to use the "tpcom"
interface, make "tpcom" a link to "tpcfg".  Make sure to read the
caution in "README" regarding usage of "tpcom".

我用 libc6，重启动后还是不行。直接运行tpcfg， 说：
tpcfg: device 0 is not a Trackpoint!
tpcfg: no Trackpoint device found!


Anyone had the experience and solved this?

The Linux configuration program supports only Press-to-Select and sensitivity adjustments, not scrolling.  Furthermore, it must be run before you start the X server.  See the enclosed README for more details.  If you don't know whether to get the libc5 or libc6 version, check to see if the file "/lib/libc.so.6" exists on your system.  If so, you can probably use the libc6 version.  If not, get the libc5 version.

This is the solution:
reconfigure
your x-windows to use a generic ps2 three button mouse. This will make the
trackpoint work in a ps2 mouse compatible mode, after this works, try using
tpcfg again, but use it not having x-windows running.
try out the attached version 0.06 of the tpcfg utility.
You need to create a symbolic link /dev/trackpoint that points to
/dev/psaux.
# ln -s /dev/psaux /dev/trackpoint
To configure the trackpoing permanently you need to have it run from a
console, not during and x-session.  Preferably you will be running this utility at boot time once.
