Yesterday I've changed my e-mail address for my linuxsir.cn account, and then guess what I've got in my mail log? See the following:
Mar 7 00:16:48 mariner sm-mta[3612]: i278GhQo003612: ruleset=check_mail,
arg1=<nobody@linuxsir.web>, relay=[211.93.98.22], reject=553 5.1.8
<nobody@linuxsir.web>... Domain of sender address nobody@linuxsir.web does not
exist
Mar 7 00:16:53 mariner sm-mta[3612]: i278GhQo003612:
from=<nobody@linuxsir.web>, size=863, class=0, nrcpts=0, proto=ESMTP,
daemon=MTA, relay=[211.93.98.22]
Apparently, the e-mail server of linuxsir.cn tried to FORGE the domain of its e-mail to an unregistered domain linuxsir.web!!! And this is very likely to be denied by most common e-mail servers like mine except those open relays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe this is the reason why people cannot get registration confirmation. I tried to send e-mail to the only contact e-mail of linuxsir.cn: pandonny@linuxsir.cn, and guess what I've got? The mailbox of this account is full!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So I have to modify the file /etc/hosts of my server to add line `211.93.98.62 linuxsir.web' in order to fool my mail server! This is a so BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD experience!!!
Linuxsir.org, please fix your mail server AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!! |
