请问:在ibmr50的本子上装freebsd5.2.1的经验~

小弟在ibmr50的本子上在装freebsd5.2.1失败!启动选项1~6都不能进入安装界面~都是15秒重起~请教原因~

With the kind help of knowledgable guys from the FreeBSD mobile list I got over these problems and can install 5.x now.

This worked by booting from CD into the loader, exit to the boot prompt (option 6) and do
set hw.pci.allow_unsupported_io_range="1"

Since in my fatal trap I could regocnize cardbus and firewire as culprits (cbb0 fwohci*) it would be possible to disable firewire or cardbus - as was pointed out to me you need a floppy image from the IBM website
to do this.
