cvs登录问题求助

我在自己FreeBSD机器上装了cvs server，可是登录不上：
www# cvs login
Logging in to :pserver:xxb@192.168.1.7:2401/home/cvsroot
CVS password:
cvs login: failed to open /root/.cvspass for reading: No such file or directory
cvs [login aborted]: fatal error: exiting
www# cvs login
大虾们帮忙看看是什么问题?
