Mandriva 2008 stuff: Early seeding begins

We got 2008 (mostly) finalized today. Well, tomorrow morning, Paris time. Lots of very tired people on the internal IRC channel juggling final-final-final ISO generation, torrent organization, and watching France beat New Zealand in the rugby World Cup quarter finals. The Powerpack and Free editions are done, and just One needs finishing up.

I’m really looking forward to the next few weeks - 2008 is shaping up to be a really killer release.

The first torrents for Mandriva Linux 2008 - the i586 and x86-64 versions of the Powerpack edition - are now available to registered early seeders. The Free and One editions are not yet up for early seeders, we will post an update on this tomorrow. For now, if you're an early seeder, you can get downloading right away, and remember to seed as long as you can! In other news, another site is running a distribution poll, so let's try and get Mandriva up to the top again!
