请问在linux中如何保存应用程序的core file

在sun OS下应用程序崩溃后会产生一个core文件，请问在linux下有吗？如果有，要怎么样才能把它保存下来

run this command:
ulimit -c XXXX
XXXX is a number.

如果编译内核时选择了debug之类的选项，应用程序崩溃后就会生成core文件。

我装的是Red Hat 7.3，我没有重新编译过内核，我产生core文件是给开发人员调试的。
请问一楼的number是指什么？我不懂，你能不能解释一下？

it is not so difficult, right? that number is the maximum size of the core file you allow system to dump.
