配置php出现的libxml2问题

当我在安安装php时出现下面错误
# cd php-5.0.0
# ./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysql
出现错误
Configuring extensions
checking whether to enable LIBXML support... yes
checking libxml2 install dir... no
checking for xml2-config path... /usr/bin/xml2-config
configure: error: libxml2 version 2.6.11 or greater required.
于是我有下载了libxml2-2.6.9.tar.gz
但当我进行下面操作时又出现这样的错误
[root@localhost libxml2-2.6.22]# ./configure
checking build system type... i686-redhat-linux-gnu
checking host system type... i686-redhat-linux-gnu
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... configure: error: newly created file is older than distributed files!

Check your system clock
请问哪位高手能帮我解决一下这个问题

我的操作系统是redhat9.0
当我要卸载用rpm -e libxml
时出现说不能卸载
不知道为什么

需要 2.6.11 或更高，你下2.6.9做什么？
