how to install glib ?

when i installing  xmms, there are some errors as foolow:

checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.2... no

please tell how to solve the problem ...  thanks

為何還要用老老的 xmms 呢, 要都裝 xmms2 好了, 不過 xmms2 是 backend, 要另裝 frontend 的
