How can i start up SCIM?

The OS is RH9
this is output msg:

[xian@xianan xian]$ scim

I can't start it up!
How can i do?

scim -d #这个命令是将scim作为下一个daemon来运行
看样子你的应该已经启动了啊。只有新开程序才可以使用scim的。

我刚才下载了SCIM源代码在 Debian Woody 3.0r0 上编译通过并且运行正常啦

期间碰到过KLite的问题，仔细检查发现原因在于
XMODIFIERS='@im=SCIM'
中一定要用大写SCIM，开始错误地写成 XMODIFIERS='@im=scim'

试试看在terminal里面运行:
export XMODIFIERS='@im=SCIM'
crxvt
然后在出来的crxvt窗口里面Ctrl-Space，应该就有输入法窗口出来啦
