It appears that the DNS operator for xyz.com.cn has installed an
invalid MX record with an IP address instead of a domain name on the right hand side. This basically says that the sending domain XYZ has been incorrectly configured with regards to the way that it accepts mail.
What our system is doing is a verification check (for SPAM and abuse reasons) to see that the domain is in fact valid, and this check is thus failing. This means that there will actually be many destinations accross the world that will not accept mail from them, not just ourselves, though not ALL servers will refuse mail from them, eg. servers running older versions of their respective programs, some mail servers such as Microsoft exchange don't have this security feature etc.
What needs to be done to fix the problem:
The administrator of the domain xyz.com.cn needs to modify the MX entries such that there is a DNS name (either an A record or a CNAME record)
which is the DNS name of the server hosting the mail (eg. mail.xyz.co.za and NOT just it's IP address), and then they need to point the MX entry to that name (not to the IP address as is currently being done)
